People who are injured on the job are no different from people who are injured on the playing field or at home. The human body responds the same to trauma, excessive force and overuse conditions no matter how or where it occurs. People who are hurt on the job are managed by Dr. Herzog with state-of-the-art techniques with minimal invasiveness, allowing the worker to return to work as quickly as possible. The days of sitting on a cough with a backache or putting your arm in a sling for several weeks are over, in Dr. Herzog’s mind. The find it, fix it and forget it mentality is strongly in place in the work place injury. Knowing full well the pressures.

The 207 Exam

Having performed thousands of 207 exams (essentially a legal evaluation of a complex work injury) has allowed Dr. Herzog to utilize common sense judgment. The legal nature of the exam is always brought up to the patients at the beginning of the exam, as well as the fact that I am not on the take. I am not employed by insurance companies, lawyers or employers. I stand as a neutral party, utilizing my vast experience to make a common-sense judgment.

The 107 Exam

This exam is a Workers Comp exam which is unique to this practice. A 107 exam is essentially a non-binding, quick assessment of the major players causing this particular worker problems getting back to work. In this arena not only will the cause and relationship of the injury be addressed, but also the most appropriate, efficient means to recuperate and improve your situation will be addressed, be it simple exercise or major surgery.
